Vancouver is no stranger to fine dining, but it’s still easy to be shocked by the price tags on some of these meals.
This list of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver was compiled by ranking restaurants according to the average price of an entree (or main course) on their menu.
The prices quoted were sourced from each restaurant’s website.
For this list, only classic fine dining establishments were included, and not casual or fast-food restaurants.

1. Le Crocodile Restaurant
Le Crocodile Restaurant is one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver, but it is also one of the best. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is formal, with tables set with white cloths and plenty of space between diners.
The food at Le Crocodile features mostly French dishes, and they are always delicious. I had the salmon with lentils as a starter, and it was light yet flavorful.
The coq au vin was also superb, as were the sauteed green beans that came as a side dish. I ordered my beef well-done and it arrived perfectly cooked, tender and juicy.
A nice touch at Le Crocodile is the attention to detail when serving; for example, your water glass never becomes empty. They periodically fill it without interrupting your conversation or meal.
Another nice touch is that as you enter the restaurant, you’re greeted by name. This may not seem like much, but it makes you feel like you’re truly welcome there.
Le Crocodile has a decent wine list, with more than 75 choices from France alone. They also have selections from California, Italy, and Australia.
They have a separate champagne list with nearly 50 choices of sparkling wines from around the world, including Veuve Clic.
2. Five Sails Restaurant
The Five Sails Restaurant is one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver, Canada. It offers an intimate ambiance, with a dining room overlooking the water.
The restaurant has a unique menu and an extensive wine list. The chef at Five Sails Restaurant is constantly creating new dishes to provide customers with a unique experience.
Some of their signature dishes include pan-seared duck breast, grilled tenderloin, and Dungeness crab.
Five Sails Restaurant is located in the Pan Pacific Hotel on Canada Place Way, in downtown Vancouver.
It is open for lunch from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday and for dinner from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Wednesday through Saturday.
The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Tuesday.

If you’re looking for a luxurious night out with your significant other, look no further than Lupo Restaurant.
This charming little gem is hidden in the heart of Hamilton Street, and it’s one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver.
The restaurant itself is fairly small, with only a handful of tables, but don’t let that deter you from trying it out. The decor is simple but elegant, and the staff is very friendly.
The menu at Lupo Restaurant changes frequently, but once we went there for date night, I had the mushroom risotto and my boyfriend had pappardelle with duck ragu.
Both were excellent! For dessert, we shared an amazing lemon tart!
We also recommend trying some of their wines by the glass. They have a wide selection of both white and red wines on their menu, so there’s something for everyone!
We would recommend this place if you want an intimate meal or even just drinks after work with friends or colleagues. You won’t be disappointed!
4. Hawksworth Restaurant
Hawksworth Restaurant is one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver. It’s an elegant, upscale bistro that defies all common notions of dining.
The menu is always changing, the ingredients are locally sourced, and the atmosphere is just right for a romantic evening out.

Park your vehicle at one of several paid lots close by and walk to the restaurant, which is on West Hastings Street between Seymour and Pender streets.

Gotham Steakhouse & Bar is one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver. It is located at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The restaurant offers a wide range of steaks as well as seafood.

Located on Denman Street in Downtown Vancouver, Gotham Steakhouse & Bar is located in the basement of the Sutton Place Hotel. The restaurant has several seating areas, including a dining room, a bar area, and a lounge.
To get there, you have to walk through the hotel lobby and then down two flights of stairs. We were seated in the lounge area, which was dimly lit with dark wood accents and plush chairs.
The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with very high ceilings, large windows, and beautiful artwork.
Due to its location, it’s also conveniently located close to many popular attractions, including Robson Street and Granville Island.
6. Elisa
Elisa is one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver, but you get what you pay for. The food is exquisite, from the rib eye steak with spicy broccoli to the lobster risotto.
In addition to being one of the most expensive restaurants in Vancouver, Elisa also has its fair share of regular customers that are willing to pay for the higher-priced meals.
This high-end restaurant is also known for its fresh seafood menu and unique cocktails that are not available at other restaurants.

The service at The Victor is excellent, with servers who are knowledgeable about the menu and can provide suggestions if needed.

Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio is one of the best and most expensive restaurants in Vancouver.
